I would love to see any other ideas though.....

This looks an interesting site. It is US based but has games and lesson plans.

My challenge in school was that students always knew how to get around soem of the safety protocols within school. They were very competent using proxy etc.
Is the message about educating them against other internet users or just locking down the school internet.
I personally think it is the first. Students are always going to be coming into contact with the internet in less secure environments - i beleive the challenge is to educate parents about setting up secure sites and talking to their children about what they do on the internet.
The local community centre has recently put on some ' internet security for parent classes' which i think is a good idea but should schools be running these in conjunction with parents?
Absolutely the first... becoming a safe user wherever and whaterver you are doing... not just blocking, although that has a place for younger childen too.
I got some of the following links from an email list I am a member of....

I created this a little while ago and haven't added to it for ages (I will add in some of the ones on this thread!), it is a live binder of various sites I have found. The geolocation site is particularly disturbing...
