You may have noticed, but just in case you haven't -- here's the scoop. You can now login to Planet using your email address -- that means you can stop banging your head against your keyboard hoping to remember your Planet username. All you need to do is enter the email address you used to set up your Planet account, and then enter your password --- Voilà! You're in!
But it gets better - you can now update the email address associated with your account. Just go to My Planet > Account Details (image below)
Then simply fill out the fields for updating your email address and click save.

You do not have to have the serial number to download ActivInspire -- the download is pretty hefty, so it might take some time depending on your connection speed. You want to make sure you download both the software and then go back and download the resource pack to go along with it. Using the serial number on your board just unlocks certain aspects of the software from the personal edition to the professional edition.
To download the software - First login to Promethean Planet and then go here.
