Want to know which are the most downloaded resources each week on Planet? You've come to right place! Below we have collected a listing of the most downloaded lessons on Planet for the week, just in case you missed them. We encourage you to download and rate the resources on this list.

#1 Pizza Fraction Party

Your students will become part of the lesson as they interact with the tons of menu items, pizzas and ingredients they have to use to fill the orders. The students will love participating in this lesson and love coming to the board. Voting questions are also included to use as formative and summative assessment. A pdf printable is embedded in the flipchart for you to print for your students to make their own pizza fractions at their desks! You can use this lesson as whole group, small group, or individual practice. I hope your students enjoy this Pizza Fraction Party Flipchart Lesson as much as my students did! Enjoy!

#2 Money

Students will learn about the 4 coins, be able to identify the 4 coins and their value, and practice counting coins (no quarter).

#3 Exploring Measurement

This flipchart is divided into sections. There is a table of contents that allows you to go to a specific page and return again after presenting the page to the students. The activities are interactive and allow students to explore and make decisions. On the title page is listed many of the vocabulary words used in the flipchart. Each lesson contains supporting Common Core Standards in Measurement, directions for using the page, and where the resources came from. The flipchart ends with several pages of online supporting resources. Please feel free to modify it to suit the needs of your students.

#4 Plant Parts and Life Cycles

This flipchart explores the purpose and interdependence of parts of different plants. Life cycles of different plants are compared through video and discussion. Pre and Post assessment on Life Cycle are included as well as literature connection.

#5 Grammar Jeopardy

Spelling, punctuation, parts of speech, contractions are all included.

#6 May & June 2013 Calendar Math Activities (Kindergarten)

Activities include: calendar, pattern making, hundred's chart, how many days have we been in school?, coin math, graphing, weather, temperature, journal and more.

#7 Cut Up Sentences

This flipchart will help your students with sight word recognition, fluency, decoding, and sentence structure. Each page offers a new sentence to create. The chart starts with three word sentences, then progresses to more difficult sentences. Picture cues are present for the more difficult (non sight words) words.

#8 Young Explorer: Plant Parts

Explore plant parts and how a flower grows.

#9 Telling Time

In this flipchart students will have the chance to practice telling time using clocks. Students can draw time onto clocks in the flipchart. There is also a flash clock where students can manipulate the hands to set the clock to different times.

This Mother's Day flipchart encompasses the history of Mother's Day and includes similes, word webs, and acrostic poetry writing.

Hi Elena - I have had this happen to me before, and I believe the issue is ActivInspire is looking into the wrong folder for the shared resources. To correct this, you have to update the path. If I remember correclty, this happened to me after an update of some sort. Here's a couple forum posts that may help:

If the background is a single color you can use the transparency and pick through settings in the property browser. If the background is not a single color you could use the camera freehand tool to trace around the part of the image you want.

Hi Angela,

I took a look at the program and think it is written for you to use the student roll numbers as their names. The flipchart could be modified to use the names, but you must realize you would have to use the existing jelly beans as examples and either redraw each jelly bean, adding the names with text, or shade in the black numbers with the same color as the background using the pen and then adding the names on the top (because the color you add is put on the top layer). When done you would then move all the jelly beans to the bottom layer so they would slide out from under the existing picture of jelly beans on top.

An alternative would be to design your own name page using clipart.

I just read your post and I have some I have made myself. You are welcome to use them if you wish. I put them in a flipchart and you can just drag them to your page and can put them in your resources if you design. I have also included a few sites with excellent resources you can use.

Can you tell us more about what you are trying to do and why?

You can print your flipchart as a PDF or use the camera tool to take pictures of pages and place them onto the clipboard so you can paste into word.

Not sure if those options will accomplish what you are looking for.

Hi Megan!

First of all, welcome aboard! So happy to have a new, eager member of the community. First thing you should do is download the ActivInspire software. Next, I would have a look at our Professional Development section and the free online courses we have to offer. These will help you become familiar with the basic tools of ActivInspire. If you are looking for tips for how to use a particular feature of ActivInspire, you will find our ActivTip videos quite helpful as these videos isolate a single feature of the software and show you how to use it in your lesson. Each video has a corresponding flipchart that contains pages notes so you can explore and create using it as a guide.

We also have some great "getting started" type blogs that focus on ActivInspire and ActivInspire Tips.

You mentioned you are looking for good "help" flipcharts and for this I would take a look at our Weekly Top 10 Downloads. Most of these lessons come with page notes and are great to use as a template to get you started.

Lastly, don't forget to ask. There are plenty of Planet members eager to help and happy to share their experiences and tips with other members of the community, so if you have a question about ANYTHING don't hesitate to ask.
