Just really starting to use Promethean..need some video help in using the pen and flip charts
@Joan -- Have you looked at the free online training and webinars? They might be a great place to start. www.prometheanplanet.com/.../professional-development
Help! Anyone made a flipchart using a Macbook? I don't know where to start.
@Candace -- getting started is the hardest part, my advice would be to download a few flipcharts from the site, and play around with them. Also -- ask people in the Products forum or Curriculum forum for help.
Ok, I downloaded a resource pack...where did it go? How do I access it?
@Robin --
When you download a resource pack from the site, you need to then open up ActivInspire and "import" it. Here's an ActivTip video that might help you out: www.prometheanplanet.com/.../activtips
How do I change the default background colour so it always comes up blue?
Lesley - to set a default page color or background color in ActivInspire, on a MAC go to ActivInspire > Preferences (this should default to the Settings tab) > Flipchart and you will see where you can set the "world" color and page background color. On a Windows machine, go to File > Settings.
Hope this helps!
Adrienne
Last week I saw a video presentation of 10 ways to use the activ votes in unique engaging ways. The principal of an "academy" made the video. Now I can't find it! Does anybody have the information?
Hi Robin - The video you are talking about was featured in a blog we posted on Planet. The video is on creative ways to use the ActivExpression and was created by Ron Clark (Ron Clark Academy). The title of the blog is Beyond Assessment: Creative Uses for Student Response Devices - here's the link: community.prometheanplanet.com/.../beyond-assessment-creative-uses-for-student-response-devices.aspx
how do i download promethean to my computer help please!!!!
Do you mean you want to download ActivInspire?
I converted my powerpoint presentations to flipcharts. How do I get the text or images to show up one at a time on the page and then are shown once I click on the page? Powerpoint is simple, flipcharts seem confusing.
Dennis, in my opinion, PowerPoint is a better "presentation tool" for automated slides like what you are wanting to do. ActivInspire is better for creating more interactivity for the students. If you are not wanting that, I'd just leave it in Powerpoint. I've used both for two different purposes. Check out the Activtips videos to see the types of things you can do in ActivInspire. At first I tried to make ActivInspire do Powerpoint-like things because that's what I knew, too.
